Curated Through Years of Collecting

About Richie’s Random Relics
At Richie’s Random Relics, I bring together over 15 years of experience in sourcing, restoring, and rehoming vintage and antique pieces from my base on the Isle of Anglesey, North Wales. What started as a passion for buying and selling has grown into a carefully curated collection of items that span a wide range of styles, eras, and budgets, from affordable finds starting at just £1 to standout pieces exceeding £1,000.
I’ve always been drawn to objects that others might overlook. There’s something deeply rewarding about recognising the potential in a piece, preparing it for a new life, and ultimately seeing it find the right home. Every item is individually selected and carefully cleaned; enough to be fresh and ready for use, but never overdone, preserving the original character and patina that makes each piece unique. I also take great pride in packaging, using a mix of new, reused, and recycled materials to ensure each item is securely and thoughtfully packed, arriving safely and exactly as expected.
My approach is guided by an appreciation for design, whether that’s mid-century form or the elegance of the Art Deco and Art Nouveau periods. I also value the craftsmanship of the Arts & Crafts movement, the refinement of the Aesthetic movement, the bold, sculptural qualities of Brutalist design, and the clean lines and innovation of more modern vintage pieces. I’m drawn to strong design in all its forms, not limited to any one period or style. I believe antiques are built to last, and each piece carries both craftsmanship and history that deserve to continue for many years to come.
Being based in Wales has also given me a deep appreciation for Welsh craftsmanship and heritage. Alongside the wider collection, I have a dedicated section of Welsh artefacts and decorative pieces that celebrate the work of local makers, skilled craftspeople, and traditional industries from across the region over the years.
Over the years, I’ve had the privilege of working with a wide range of customers, including private collectors, interior designers, and high-end clients, as well as supplying numerous items to prop stores and productions across TV and film.
I’m always happy to help, whether you’re searching for something specific or just browsing. If you have any questions about an item, please feel free to get in touch.
Frequently Asked Questions

Yes, international shipping is available on the majority of items using Royal Mail or Parcelforce where possible.

We declare all international parcels at the full sale value and will not alter customs declarations.

Please note that international returns are not accepted.
Can I collect items in person?
Yes, collection is available from Gaerwen, Anglesey (LL60 6DA) on all items by prior arrangement.
Please contact before purchasing or collecting, as some items may be held in storage and may not be immediately available for collection.
Do you combine postage?
Yes, combined postage is available wherever possible.
If you would like a quote for combined shipping, please get in touch and we will provide the best estimate possible.
Please note that on certain fragile or unusually shaped items it may not always be safe to combine postage.
Are items cleaned or restored?
Every item is individually selected and carefully cleaned – enough to be fresh and ready for use, but never overdone, preserving the original character, patina, and age that make each piece unique.
Unless otherwise stated, items are sold in unrestored vintage or antique condition.
How are fragile items packaged?
With over 15 years of experience and more than 10,000 fragile items shipped, great care is taken to ensure every item is packaged appropriately for safe transit.
Each item is packed individually according to its size, weight, shape, and fragility using a combination of new, reused, and recycled packaging materials where appropriate.
Packaging is something I take great pride in, and many customers regularly comment on the care and attention given to their orders.
Can you source specific items?
Yes – if you are looking for something specific, please feel free to get in touch with details of the item and your approximate budget.
While I cannot guarantee I will find every item requested, I am always happy to keep an eye out whilst sourcing.
If suitable items are found, I am happy to send photographs and details before purchase to ensure both parties are happy with the item and price.
Do you buy items or collections?
Yes – I am always interested in purchasing antique, vintage, decorative, and unusual items.
If you have something you are looking to sell, please send clear photographs along with a guide price for the item or collection. Due to the volume of enquiries received, I am generally unable to provide valuations or make blind offers without an indication of the price expected.
I am particularly interested in:
- collections
- decorative interiors items
- architectural salvage
- unusual or specialist pieces
- old shops, workshops, and industrial spaces
- prop store clearances
- country houses, farm buildings, and outbuildings
- chapel and ecclesiastical items
- old pubs, hotels, commercial interiors, and business clearances
- larger group lots
House visits and part clearances may be possible depending on the type, quantity, and location of items available.
Whilst I do occasionally purchase individual items from the public, I generally prefer to buy collections or larger groups of items where possible.
Is all of your stock listed?
No – I am always sourcing new stock and there is never enough time in the day to list everything. New items are listed regularly, often daily, so there is always a steady flow of fresh stock being added to the website. But if there’s anything specific you’re looking for, or have spotted something in the background of another photo, please feel free tp get in touch.
What is antique or vintage condition?
When I describe an item as being in excellent antique condition or excellent vintage condition, this should always be considered in relation to the items age.
Antique and vintage pieces are not fresh out of the factory. They have often been used and enjoyed for many decades, so signs of age, wear, and use are to be expected. Minor age related wear, light marks, surface scratches, and a natural patina are all to be expected and form part of what makes antique and vintage pieces unique.
Any significant damage, repairs, losses, or notable flaws will always be clearly described and photographed where possible. I aim to provide accurate descriptions and detailed photographs so that you can buy with confidence and know exactly what to expect.
Do you provide additional photographs?
I aim to photograph every item thoroughly from multiple angles, showing both the overall piece and any notable details or imperfections. In most cases, the photographs provided should give a clear representation of the item.
If you would like to see something specific, I am happy to provide additional photographs where possible. Please note that some items may already be securely packed and ready for dispatch, in which case additional photographs may not be available.
How accurate are item descriptions and measurements?
I take great care to describe and photograph every item as accurately as possible.
Measurements are provided as approximate dimensions and are usually very close to the actual size. Minor variations of a millimetre or two are possible, but measurements should be sufficiently accurate for the vast majority of purposes.
If exact dimensions are critical, please feel free to get in touch before purchasing.
Can I reserve an item?
Yes – I am happy to reserve items upon receipt of a non refundable £20 deposit.
Reserved items must be paid for in full within 28 days of the deposit being received. If the balance is not paid within this timeframe, the item will be relisted and the deposit will be retained.
Unfortunately, no exceptions can be made to this policy.
Do you offer trade discounts or bulk purchase discounts?
Many items feature a “Make an Offer” option, and reasonable offers are often considered, particularly on older stock.
Discounts may also be available when purchasing multiple items or when collecting items in person, where appropriate.
I also offer a rewards programme for returning customers, with discounts of up to 10% available once the qualifying criteria have been met.
For larger purchases, trade enquiries, or bespoke requirements, please feel free to get in touch to discuss your requirements.
